Hi, I am new to this site and signed on because I thought I saw a topic on solbookers but cannot find it.
Does anyone know if solbookers.com is a reputable resale company or am I about to be ripped off. |

Try looking under Dunstar or Greystone. Same PO Box address in Arroyo de la Miel. Touching with bargepoles is not recommended. |

I am a teacher from the UK who was called by Sol Bookers about four months ago, I was rather dubious at the time but wanted to sell my timeshare in Portugal. The sale did take 2 weeks longer than expected but eventually I recieved the money offered in full. I no longer have to pay maintenance for a timeshare that I have not used for 6 years.

You also tell porkies. Your IP is from Spain. Solbookers are part of Greystone Dunstar and are scammers.

No doubt we will get the usual "I'm in Spain on holiday" comment, that they all come out with |

Hi Kerry. Sol Bookers S.L. approached me several days ago offering to sell my Timeshare. Like a 'mug' I said ok. Only this weekend my bank have advised me the company is not a registered company. Do I want to go ahead! Now I'm not so sure! You must send me details. |

Hello, think I missed your quote!
However, I have been in contact with 'Sol Bookers S.L.' to day. Is your "solbookers.com" the same? I wonder!

| Sorry, I only just signed in as I've been away. Unfortunately I had agreed to pay a deposit before I found this site. When I said I couldn't afford the deposit they halve it. Well, they would wouldn't they if it's money for nothing. The money went from my account but they have sent a slip to sign and a contract. I should have seen it coming. The 'instant buyer' isn't mentioned in the contract which says if it isn't sold in 12 months the deposit is lost. Surprise! Surprise! Why do they need a credit slip signing if they already have the money. I have cancelled my credit card and refuse to answer their calls. Hope this clarifies it for you. |

SOL BOOKERS--- I fell for the cold call chat to sell our timeshare and offered up my credit card which 1300 euros was taken immediately. Realized what a fool I had been within minutes. I checked the web sites to find they were blacklisted and some not very nice things being said. Got a hard time from the wife.I was very concerned and felt foolish that I had fallen for a scam. I telephoned them and was told that the monies would be paid back that night. I honestly did not hold my breath because I thought I was being told all the right things to keep me quite.
TODAY EVERY PENNY REPAID back into my credit card account. GREAT RESULT and sorry to SOL BOOKERS for doubting them. I did learn that these firms are cutting each others throats by black listing their competitors or inserting rubbish onto sites, then charging to get it removed. No wonder we have difficulty sorting the wheat from the chaff. |

so its true that the brits are mistrusting of all that is good!!!!my ip address is spain.because i am spanish!!!!!!!!i have bought succesfully from my local rep and am very happy!i believe that most buyers are actually spanish at solbookers, partly due to the fact that we do keep our word and pay on time.i would like to ask why the english buyer cannot keep its word and pay as he says he will when sighning his contract.that is what these people have to deal with on a daily basis and then have to listen to this also!!!!give them a break!!!!but always be carefull who u are dealing with!

| I too have been contacted out of the blue by Sol Booker offering to buy my timeshaer for more money than I paid for it. The guy that 'phoned me was Dutch and wanted me to pay 1300 euros on my credit card immediately without seeing the contract and on the basis that if anything goes wrong the credit card company will refund me the mone. Sounded too good to be true and now I am sure that these guys are scammers so if he calls back tomorrow I shall tell him to get lost. |

Over a period of a couple of weeks i had phone calls for several people wanting to sell my timeshare for me thay may have all been from Sol bookers i did not take any details from them, anyway i got a phone call from sol bookers wanting to sell my three weeks as thay told me it was at no cost to me i thought why not give it a go and see what i can get for them. Two days ago i got a call from them to say thay had a buyer for 2 of the weeks at £12k, i was told i had to make a decision by the following day. I asked for details of the sale to be sent to me, what thay sent me was a e mail stating that i had to send the 1300 euros, alarm bells were already starting to ring but when i seen the request for the money thay were ringing even louder. What part of "at no cost to me" does this fit into?? What also bothers me is how thay got my details. This my be a good company but what estate agent asks for money up front when thay are selling your house? I think this is a con and i will not be using a barge pole or anthing else to touch these people. |

And to cap it all the fool thinks we can't tell that he is posting from Spain!
How many times do this lot try to come on here and fool people into thinking that sharks are nice creatures to deal with?
Please folks - don't be fooled - this guy looks like he works for them |

| Can't help you with a Mailing address I'm afraid but I've had several calls from them over the last 2 weeks. Usual stuff....we're doing a Presentation-we'll include the week you want to sell. They got back to me with an offer "Sorry but it's "only" £3500. I said ok. They got back to "purchaser" then to me again-"ok-all accepted....this is what will happen".....then loads of spiel about the money going into my account...then I'll have 14days to send the ownership certificate....blah blah blah" Then right at the end mention of ""Security Bond" was made...."Hold it right there" says I. "What's that?"....Reply was "it's 995 Euros that you pay as a security.............". Sorry says I-I made it clear I wasn't paying anything to a Daniel \Pearson yesterday"...."I'll get back to you" she says. Not holding my breath! Thanks TineshareTalk |

| Whatho getting calls to sell my timeshare sounds soooo good has a customer drooling to buy my timeshare (still not sure how he P D found out ???perhaps he is now reading this no offence meant) anyhow upshot was there was a 'Bond'To pay of 1300 euro but the buyer wanted to buy for £5500 now methinks this is good as I could buy from my time share club any amount of weeks from a few hundred pounds up then I could sell them to Solbookers for a fat profit and retire a multimillinaire just heard a pig llying over perhaps I should consult with the fairies at the bottom of the garden any advise from you fellow potential millionaires out there????? I await your interesting replies |

| I have also been approached by Daniel Pearson of Solbookers with a fantastic offer for a timeshare, slightly more than paid 10 years ago. This is much higher than any of the timeshare sale companies recommended by the Timeshare Consumer's Association. It's obviously a scam. They said no money up front, but then asked for a security bond of £400 on my credit card before they send me the contract. They did reassure me that I could check with Mastercard/ Visa etc etc and if the buyer pulled out they would refund the money. If they were a bona fide company they would send the contract first. I pity the poor person who has apparently has already paid a deposit for the timeshare, if there is a real buyer. I see some people have posted good selling experiences but how can we trust them? I would only do so if I personally knew a friend who had had a good experience. |

| Had call from Cindy Bailey at Sole Bookers today, my 2 timeshares were sold at their presentation last weekend for £13,000, more than you pay if you buy on site!!!! Even though I told their first caller, "Dawn" I would never pay any monies up front they asked me for Euros 1300 on a credit card. Told them no thanks, they are very believable, sellers beware!! |
