Sterling dropped 31% last year!

What is the annual rate of increase in your maintenance?

well it went from £539 to £780 in one year so what ever that is.  When I bought in 2003 it was £330.

the cost for our 1 bed for 2 weeks is 1288.00 euros.

so far not paid and just curious when and if they will contact me for payment - will wait and see as the cash is better with me than them.

The rate of increase is terrible but nothing we can do that I know of?

Has anyone paid yet?  I certainly cannot afford it at this time as my husband is out of work.  Do you think we should negotiate.  Probably reading this anyway.

Shocking news, so many people are going to lose their time-shares due to exchange rates and greedy developers.  I am absolutely apauled at the cost of the annual maintenance.  Petchy put the Albatros up to a figure that we weren't prepared to pay so we dumped it.  There was no re-sale value as people just don't want to buy timeshare anymore due to high maintenance charges, particularly when you can get so many late deals to the same resort for a fraction of the price.

So sorry for your dilema, just glad we got out before it cost us a shed load.

How did you dump it?  I thought you could not just walk away from it. Probably would if we could.

WE JUST ASKED ALBATROS IF THEY WOULD TAKE THEM BACK AND THEY AGREED STRAIGHT AWAY, I THINK THEY WANT TO CONVERT THEM ALL TO POINTS

We just didn't pay the account, the next thing we knew was that they sent a letter stating we no longer were owners (about three months after the due date)I rang them and told them we thought they were treating us, and all owners of the Albatros shodily etc etc.  We still retain membership of RCI and can use them to book flights, holidays etc.
