Laugharne Park
« on: November 04, 2012, 09:48:28 »
At Carolinian's suggestion to my question at TUG, I'm posting the same question here in the hopes of eliciting a better response.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Seasons at Laugharne Park? Reviews at TUG are old. TripAdvisor Reviews are mixed, at best. A search here revealed nothing in the past year or so. We don't want to make an exchange, pay the airfare, and find ourselves with a less than acceptable room. So, if anyone is willing to share, we'd appreciate it.

For some background, we will fly from Boston and we don't expect a Marriott. Clean, comfortable, and pleasant are terms that come to mind.

Thanks.

Hi Bwolf,
We stayed earlier this year, perfect weather all week.
An interesting resort however, one needs to do some homework or you might find that trees etc restrict your view.
We stayed in Penbroke 2, a 2-bed unit.
Other Penbroke units 1-8 in this area, all with good views of the estuary, are equally as good and you can park your car less than a "stone's throwā€¯ from the unit door.
Plenty of sites to visit in the area, a few as.... Laugharne, Picton Castle, Pendine Sands and St Davids about one hour drive from the Resort.
We did go to the welcome meeting for info etc, we also went to a sales "update", certainly no "hard-sell" and learnt about the Seasons Keys system and for attending were given a voucher which we could use at the on-site restaurant carvery
Laugharne Park is well worth a stay, do your "homework" for a unit that suits YOU, and enjoy your stay; good weather is an added bonus.
John.

John: Thanks.  Do you know if there are hiking trails in the area?
