Summer Festivals in Spain  When thinking of Spain, one might think simply of sun, sea, and sand. But one undeniable fact about Spain and its people is that they know how to throw a party. Today, we look at some of the summer festivals in Spain.

Summer festivals in Spain are exciting. The Seville April Fair—or Feria de Abril—begins at midnight on a Monday, two weeks after Semana Santa (Holy Week). It is a classic Spanish affair featuring flamenco, horses, and bullfighting, and lasts all week. The festival culminates in a spectacular fireworks display at midnight on Sunday, rounding out a week full of celebrations. Notable attractions include the daily noon procession ‘Paseo de Caballos’, in which local girls resplendent in full flamenco outfits are pulled through the city in horse-drawn carriages, and the ‘Real de la Feria’, a venue that becomes its own city for the week with the usual fairground rides and attractions.
