I have been contacted (cold called) offering me a place in their class action against resort properties now silverpoint ,regarding claiming back my investment ,as usual im sceptical about this , i dont trust coldcallers and it seems everything to do with resales just seems a scam ,the initial consultation is free to see if youre eligible but then if you fill the criteria its £895 solicitors cost then if theyre sucessful they take 33% of any award, has anyone had any dealings with this man or company ,id love to believe and trust them but having been ripped off from day one im sceptical.

Boss Man

Edwin Coe are utterly respectable.  However class actions are unknown in England.  The action is likely to be in Tenerife.  Have a word (free) with Javier Correa.

Following requests for assistance from consumers, KwikChex made enquiries re Olton Alexander.

Whilst a cooperation with Edwin Coe was claimed, a reply from the Solicitors Regulation Authority stated that Edwin Coe was not working in cooperation with Olton Alexander.

Olton Alexander Financial Claims Ltd. was incorporated in 2011, but filed as a dormant company until recently when a Gazette notice for compulsory strike off action was filed in June 2015. Accounts have since been submitted and that action was discontinued,

Valuable info for consumers KwikChex so thank you.

If companies are unscrupulous enough as to attach themselves to legal entities and pretend they are in a working partnership then this seems to suggest a lack of ethics or gray matter. If this is the case then I do not think I would be wanting them to represent me on legal matters. But who knows Olton Alexander may come on here and clear up the matter of their association with Edwin Coe..... but I somehow doubt it.

There are not Class Actions under the Spanish legal system, only Consumer Associations and the like may use it. Knowing Silverpoint's contracts very well and how different they can be it is very difficult even join various defendants under the same proceedings.

The proceedings should be issued in Spain. Who is their Lawyer in Spain? This can be checked and see if it is all this true or not

We did the same thing Boss Man, but never received a reply - so contacted the SRA who asked the questions of Edwin Coe and replied to us.

Olton Alexander

Hello my Name is Martyn

I work for Olton Alexander Financial Claims Ltd.   I'm recently appointed by the company to look into our internet presence and marketing objectives.    I stumbled upon this website which I have found most interesting, I have read some super content and found this site's ethos most refreshing.

I decided to do conduct a general search on our company to see what came up and I was surprised to read the content above.   Please allow me to comment as follows.

First and foremost we are a bonafide company registered and practising in the United Kingdom.   We are a specialist firm practising in claims of financial recourse.

We are currently involved as claims manager of a Group Action against Barclays Partner Finance and their connection with Resort Properties/Silverpoint - Club Paradiso and Club Mirage.    Initial proceedings were served in September 2014, the case has since moved on significantly.    The proceedings include approximately 140 claimants, there is a further 150 (approx) to be added at some point in the immanent future.

The matter is before the UK Courts and is not being heard in Tenerife.   The claimant is in the UK, the bank is in the UK we are in the UK there is no need to be in Spain for this matter and the UK has a robust legal system.   We charge an Action Commencement Fee of £795 for all claim matters that qualify, we only take on claims that have qualify to Join after vetting and we reject many more claim matters than we take on.

We have successfully recovered money for many timeshare victims on an individual basis and recently had success against ReClaimGC.

In closing, I can confirm that Messrs Edwin Coe LLP are exclusively acting on behalf of our introductions regarding the Group Action referred to above.   If you call Edwin Coe LLP on 0207 691 4000 and ask them if they are dealing with us (Olton Alexander) they will confirm our position and allay any concerns that you may have.

If you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact me (Martyn) at oltonalexander.co.uk

PS.  We also made contact with KwikChex earlier and made our position very clear as what was being published was incorrect and misleading.  The Kwikchex's team reacted professionally and made the adjustments to their site but unfortunately not before its effect had reached here.   hence this post.

Can you update on the above case against resort and silverpoint as I've been contacted by another company and they want substantially more initial fee so I'm sceptical to say the least and I'm now interested in seeking some sort of compensation,I look forward to a speedy reply please .thanks Don
