Anfi takeover? Lopesan vs. Santana Cazorla?
« on: June 02, 2018, 16:30:49 »
“IFA Hotels (Germany), a chain run by Lopesan, intends to propose at July 2018 to their shareholders the capital increase to 128.7 million euros. This company holds 50 % of Anfi del Mar & Tauro.

There you can read that one of the objectives is “the take over of the not hold 50 % share of the Anfi Group”.

It was already mentioned in the 2017 business statement of IFA, that the objective should be to achieve the majority of the control of Anfi del Mar & Tauro, where 50% is in the hands of Santana Cazorna (HSC), a partner with whom there would be no way of understanding in the south of Gran Canaria and who would be blocking the capacity of obtain greater financial performance from the hotel chain that owns the López family.” From http://timeshare-talk.info/2018/06/02/anfi-take-over/

This was something that I had been waiting for some time, it was not logical the situation in which Anfi Group was. Now with this maneuver, Lopesan will be able to control more than 50% since by increasing the capital it will be able to have more shares of the total, making it impossible for Hermanos Santana Cazorla to comply with the financial requirements to maintain its superiority within the shareholders. To that end they should disburse many million euros, something that they just aren’t in the position to do so.

I saw an article last year that Santana Cazorla had moved to Morocco to escape the law in Gran canaria  also do you think that Lopesan   will keep it timeshare or let it as holiday apartments

In principle Lopesan taking over Anfi’s control is good news. It is a big company, economically sound and internationally spread over. Timeshare is still a very good business in term of numbers and if it stops doing they can convert it into their mother business: Hotel and Resorts.
