Reserving Home Group on website

Hi, I'm new to TST so I hope I'm not covering old ground here. My Home Group (4 resorts) has disappeared from RCI.com and only my Home resort remains on the pull-down menu. Is this a common problem or could it have anything to do with the fact that Infiniti are now involved with all "my" resorts?

Hello gadzbork and welcome to our midst. I am happy to share with you the information that I gained last week from RCI re exactly the same problem that I am having with the website, ie. only my home resort is listed in the drop down homegroup menu. I emailed them  and this is their response:

Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail.

We have made our technical staff aware the home group reservation
section online is only currently displaying home resorts.  We do not yet
have a time estimate on when this issue will be resolved.  For now,
please call 877/968-7476 to make a home group reservation.  We regret
the inconvenience.

Thank you for your interest in RCI.

So now we wait. It's a real nuisance though so I hope that it's fixed soon.

qadzbork - the home group for infinit comes and goes on the website - I have seen it there at least 3 times only for it to vanish a few weeks later - its normal state seems to be "not there"- home group is still there but you need to call.

I find that with every improvement on the RCI site it actualy gets worse -  you used to be able to search for specific facilities now you can only search by area and trawl through all those listed.

Please be advised that the future reservations you have at present on
your Points account are as follows.

Portobelo, 18th of October to the 1st of November

There are no further future bookings on your RCI Points account.

I have just asked the question of infiniti I will let you know their reply when it eventualy turns up.

"Thank you for your email. The facility to book online on the RCI website is currently unavailable, however work is under way to make this available to Infiniti members. This is an error on the RCI website, as being an Infiniti member you have the advantage of booking ALL Infiniti resorts in the Home Group booking period; 10-16 months prior to the departure date. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information or assistance."

Its not quite what I asked but better than telling me what my reservations are

This is the latest offering from RCI Europe!

"Thank you for your email.

I have forwarded your query to our webteam for consideration.  However,
it was belief that the home Group resorts only appeared on a members
account when they were within the reservation window.  If you are
outside the reservation window, I did not believe that they would
appear.  I know this is the case with Home Group reservations.  The Home
Groups would only appear for the one month you can book them.

However, I will need to get this verified by our webteam"


Anyone got any idea what they're on about? I understood that Home Group reservations could be made at any time the window was open, and the window moves day by day...

Perhaps I should send them the reply Heather got from RCI North America!

OK, the plot thickens. One only gets home group advantage for a month before the general membership has access to the same weeks but I have seen in my account that the names of the resorts still appear outside of this window.

By all means send them the response that I received but RCI in Europe and North America are two different companies so my response may not apply.
