Having like others, been pestered with the Java Script Error coming up when trying to read posts on timesharetalk.
Last week I removed the Adobe Acrobat Reader completely from the PC then went on the net and downloaded Acrobat Reader version 8 and so far no more problems.

Boss Man

I was not aware of any Javascript problems recenly, and Adobe Acrobat should not be any cause (unless there is some very obscure reason.

Acrobat is only for reading PDF files.

Can you elaborate on the errors Tom ?

Hi Paul
A topic went up a few weeks ago about at times only being able to view the original post all the others were not viewable and a Java Script Error message was shown. When traced back this led to a version of Acrobat Reader so I posted that next time it appeared I would delete my Acrobat Reader 5 and upgrade.
Doggy warned against version 7. I upgraded to version 8 and problems have gone.

Was the original topic.

Tom

Are you logged into the site or "lurking" when you get them?

I have had a few strange errors in the past, just caused by not being logged in...

Hi Graham.
No idea whether I was logged on or on as a guest. It seemed to be at any time but not too sure. I did remove Acrobat 5 and install Acrobat 8 and no problems since and I have not changed my habits re logging on or just logging to post.

Off topic. Caught a Sturgeon in the middle of the week (fishing a pond just off the Brid road near Howden)

Boss Man

Nice one Tom, rare you see those beasties in the wild.

She's a cracker - well done - Did she put up much of a fight?

OK, all sorted now.

It was the advert that is shown to non members that was creating the Javascript error.

And yes Tom, yuou got it because you were not signed in.

Women never put up much of a fight with me Graham.[;)]
Strange fish -- mouth underneath like a shark. Not much weight with them. This  one was about 26 inch but only weighed maybe 3 pounds. It seems that they grow very fast and it will be 3 feet long in a couple of years time.
As I left the pond another one was being released, so there are now two in there.

Right place and time I suppose.
Only the second fishing trip this year due to family circumstances.
To catch my "virgin sturgeon" was a bit special.
As is customary I was going to offer it to The Queen but as she has not offered me a knighthood I thought better of it and re-released it into the pond [:D]

Sturgeon and Swans I believe.

To kill a Swan is still as I understand it -- In theory punishable by being hung from ther neck. GULP [:0]
