Looking for VAN on lease
« on: October 15, 2007, 19:21:51 »

Hi friends,
I will be traveling to London late November and would like to know if any of you have tried hiring a VAN. There is a total of about 14 in my group and thought that hiring our own transportation. Would anyone know of any company offering such services?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!

I know that this doesn't answer your question but, having been to London, I have to ask. Why would you not chose to use public transportation? And if you plan to travel away from London, why would you not take the train? There is no need for a car in London and the surrounding areas, unless I'm missing something.

14 PEOPLE IN A VAN? DO YOU MEAN MINI BUS? http://www.abbeytravel.com/

That's my two suggestions. But a one day travel card is £4.60 after 9;30 the trains included I think. Bus/train/underground at £5 a day!!! Bus or van- £8 congestion charge, central London parking £22 a day at Whites row(example) except Saturday for £2.00 Parking meters 20p 15 minutes minimum 80p first hour. Red routes just to stop cost £50 if paid quick, £100 for the slow. Touching only slightly a bus lane £50 and hatched boxes £100- Stress levels... PRICELESS!!! Get a pass as most attractions cost a fortune to park and are on good routes... Where do you want to go in London?
