Title: Anfi ebay rental scam
Post by: Ennis on February 07, 2012, 18:25:31
Has anyone been ripped off by individuals advertising weeks rentals for anfi on ebay?

I have heard that several payments have been made to a property company based in Gran who issue fake booking forms with the promise of guest certificates and never get back in touch and never return emails or calls.

I and four others have also been victims of this ebay scam.  Weeks advertised as available in all four anfi resorts total cost over £6000.  We are now taking action to try and get this B........ brought to justice.  Ebay and paypal are not being very helpful referring to 45 dispute timeline and "residential accommodation" not covered under their buyer protection policies!  Scumbags.

Forget ebay & paypal they have totally copped out and will do nothing and I doubt any legal process will work as this guy is to slippery I`m after my own "refund" and have just been given information on his whereabouts. He`s got one last chance to pay back or he`s in the Insular,  San Roque or the Negrin which is the nearest and the newer of the 3 , it`s quite nice inside and they have quite a few side wards

We were conned for £6000 by Femi Jaye in June 2011 and we would dearly love to see him dealt with. Have you got anywhere with it yet? Should we complete the form you mention? We used an English solicitor but he didn't respond so we stopped as it seemed that we were throwing good money after bad.
Any suggestions would be welcome

Very sorry to hear that I only lost £300 so using a solicitor was pointless. I have kept in touch with a Norwegian gentleman who used a non uk solicitor and I believe he is making headway. Drop me a line at j.candlish@sky.com and I will see if its ok for u to contact him.

I  finally know were FJ is and I will  be "meeting" with him soon

 >I was scammed by this man, along with 23 others, in 2007. I contacted a lawyer and have pursued him since. While I have little chance of seeing my money again, I persevered and gave police statements in the Canariesand the culmination was that Femi Jaye (full name Olufemi Jaiyeola) was arrested a few years ago but did not attend court for a hearing and disappeared. The police found him this June and he was put in jail in Marbella until his trial. His trial was on October 2 and I attended court in Fuerteventura where he appeared by video link from Marbella jail. He was released from custody after the hearing pending the judge's decision which will be given in the next week or so. If anyone wants further information, please let me know.:(

I have been conned by this bloke as well and have the details of several others who have also. I set up a website about him a couple of months ago(avoidthisman). Have a look and contact us with details you have about him.
