Title: Timesharetalk's new home
Post by: Boss Man on October 31, 2010, 16:44:30
I was hoping to switch over the site this weekend but due to "technical issues" I'm going to have to delay it. However, I would like people to have a look and try to see if there are any final "tweaks" that can be made.

Please feel free to have a look at http://www.timesharetalk.co.uk/index.php

You can log n using the same credentials but anything you post will be deleted when the switch-over happens.

Please take a look and try out the new site and let me have feedback.

Yes, if you put your mouse over the "Forum" link on the top menu, you have small drop down menu which gives you Active Topics and "My topics" - topics in which you have participated. Google tagged topics is topics which have been most popular by searches through Google

A step in the right direction and easy to get round the site.[:)]
I like the idea of being able to view photos, with text, in all a job well done and am certain as time goes by more improvements will take place.

Hi Boss Man

Is there any way of removing all the Bot posts from the Active Topics, as I really don't want to have to sift through pages of Bot stuff to find what really interests me?

Regards
David

David,

This is what you need to do to ignore boards / posts -

Log on to the forum (new one) and click on profile on the top menu, then on the profile menu on the left click on "Ignore Boards Options". You can select which posts to ignore then.

This will affect the active topics page. I have automatically stripped that board from the active topics on the front page

Remember though, don't do this until I have switched the site otherwise your membership settings will be over-written.
