Holidaymakers these days seem to trust the site’s user-generated content over hotelier websites and the word of their travel agent—and why wouldn’t they? TripAdvisor is simple to use, with a clean interface and millions of reviews to read, and 98% of respondents to a July 2011 survey found that TripAdvisor’s hotel reviews accurately reflect the experience.
