Have you a pet friendly UK resort you could recommend?
« on: March 02, 2013, 14:37:40 »
I am looking for a resort that will accept pets for those exchanging. I am aware that resorts are for owners at that resort only. If you have visited with your pet at a resort how did you find the experience?

Timeshare is a great concept and you will enjoy a lifetime of holidays as long as you own the right product to suit your holiday style and take the time out to do a little homework.

There was a list compiled on another timeshare site, but those are mostly US resorts.  I haven't paid too much attention to this as we leave our parrot with friends when we travel.

The last resorts on the NC Outer Banks that allowed pets changed those rules, in both cases by overwhelming vote of the members at the annual meetings.

I do remember seeing UKRE list availibility in resorts that were pet friendly in the UK, but I do not recall the names of them.

For pet friendly resorts, UKRE lists ''& doggie'' under Occupancy.  Two resorts they have availible in England presently have that designation - Brockwood Hall and New Pallyards.

Loch Rannoch Highland Club allows dogs. I have a couple of weeks there. Not much in the way of facilities - on or off site - but the lodges are comfortable, the countryside is terrific and it's great for long walks with your canine companions.

Melfort Village is a pet friendly resort. Two pets are allowed for a small charge of £30 for first pet and £15 for the second. (per week)

There is an area suitable for exercising dogs, dog loos etc.

Well behaved dog owners also welcome!

In the UK , it is mainly the Scottish resorts that allow pets.  I was going to mention Loch Rannoch as we stayed there and saw a few people there with dogs.

In the UK, in the RCI Points system, RCI also offers exchanges into private accommodation - cottages, houses, etc - some of these will allow pets (it will sometimes say in the description).  But they are usually offered in the Autumn months and perhap early Spring.
