The FAA has approved a portable concentrator to go through security and onto airplanes as a carryon only, subject to the airlines' approval. Airline oxygen must be used in flight. Medicare will help with this. It looks like an empty plastic box that is lightweight and fits into my small carryon on wheels, so it is easy to pull or carry on your lap. It is especially useful in the airport or a hotel as it plugs into a wall outlet or into a car's cigarette lighter on the road. Is this available or acceptable in the UK? I have not tried it outside the US but it does make traveling easier and more comfortable.
