Hi Mich
Westgate is out of the David A. Siegel stable. It is a very large resort with about 2500 apartments.
About 1 mile from the main entrance to Disney.
Mr Siegel did have a bit of a run in with the SEC about 3 years back when he was alleged to be holding too many shares in a rival company (Bluegreen)
There was at one time an alleged connection made between him and a Dave Gubbay who left the former company in a bit of a hurry.
Westgate resorts do have a decent reputation re the accommodation but in any case many of the best holidays we take are made more enjoyable by the fact that "we go for it" in the face of adversity.
Please note that American adversity is far less distressing than UK adversity and may well simply mean that the 11 pools were not cleaned out before 7.30 am on a daily basis.
Enjoy your stay and do report back both the good and the bad.

I am sure we will enjoy this holiday, have been chatting to an American lady and she has been very helpful.

Will let you know how we got on when we get back.

Thanks Mavo/Tom

Love Michelle

Just spent two wonderfull weeks at WVV.

The good,
Excellent location for parks, shopping and restaurants.
The villa was lovely and clean.
Staff very helpful and friendly.

The not so good.
Villa outdated, nothing like we were expecting.
The towels are far too small, i'm slim and they didn't fit around me.
No kettle, and no hot water in the kitchen.
Used points for villa for 8, they placed us in one for 6 people.

went to westgate resorts in orlando - town centre over easter. had a second week @ sheraton on international drive. Sheraton much classier.

Westgate was fine but agree with the comments made by incise84 furniture was all MDF and from the 80's

we did have a great week and it was really convinient for disney. the kids liked there being a domino's too

when we arrived we had to queue for about an hour to get our key which wasnt the case in our following week.
