If anyone has been contacted by cold callers in Spain promoting claims in Spain or indeed have any claims afoot you should proceed with caution.
The selling companies in UK and Spain have gone into liquidation. The Administrator's report is in the public domain and reveals that liabilities far exceed assets. If you are a consumer bringing a claim you will at best rank as an unsecured creditor. Reading the report it would appear unlikely that there will be much if any recovery for such claimants. If you are already involved in litigation then sadly insolvency events are an inherent litigation risk. If you have yet to pursue any claims you should tread carefully.
The above does not impact on potential claims against lenders, such claims theoretically possible under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. There are however time limits that apply to pursuing such claims.
